There are different reasons why bodyART™ changed the life of many participants. das Leben von vielen bodyART™- Trainierenden verändert hat. A few of them we like to introduce to you here:
Bianca Arnold - Ingolstadt (23 years)

How bodyART™ changed my life
My name is Bianca Arnold and I am 23 years old. I have been visiting the fitness studio regularly for the past 3 years, mainly engaging myself in power and endurance training, spinning and body pump. However, this kind of training got to unilateral for me and I started looking for something my body would be challenged differently. I actually was introduced to this kind of special new challenge by my best friend Amelie. Coming from a 4 week trip abroad she constantly raved about a new training called bodyART™. First I didn't know what to think about it. bodyART™ sounded more like art or painting than sports. But nevertheless according to her reports I was looking in my hometown for an adequate offer. My first bodyART™ training was totally overwhelming. The way it harmonized body and soul, the unusual strain on the muscles and the energetic respiration... all in all it changed not only my body but also my spirit and my whole attitude to life. Having problems with my back since childhood, bodyART™ gave me the opportunity to strengthen my back in a gentle way and thus prevented further pain. When I had a hallux operation a year ago, this sport concept helped me to mobilize my toe joint and to straighten my whole body. This development also affected my spirit. I realized that I have calmed down and feel more balanced. bodyART™ gives me the necessary power and self-confidence during tough times and when tests come up to believe in me and my abilities.

bodyART™ - what is that?
This was my curious request to Daniela, the desk lady at my physiotherapist in Landshut. Once again I was in medical treatment because of iritation of my achilles tendon and pain in my right heel, plus back pain in the lower spine area. Being a passionate and longtime soccer player I could not give up playing despite the physical symptoms.
The real reason for these chronic pains has been false posture and muscle shortening in the calve, lower leg and back area. But my motto has been, a soccer player is tough and does not need any yoga stuff.
In addition, a phase of stress in my job happened which even led to health problems. During this phase of my life, I realized how important my health and a good balance in life is.
I searched and found, several attempts later, in bodyART™ a physical activity which challenges and strengthens body, spirit and soul. Having practised regularly for 2 years (once or twice a week) I learned to love and appreciate bodyART™. The variety of body exercises challenges me to push to my own borders and to strenghten my body awareness. The flowing movements and the aimed respiration in combination with the matching music led me each time into harmony and soothing deep relaxation. Moreover, as a christian orientated person I felt a proud and awestruck attitude in some specific exercises which is an additional benefit for my soul. Finally, in bodyART™ (in combination with MTB) I have found an important compensation for my job and each time I am aware that I do my body something good. Incidentally, my back problems are gone and with "foot-stretch" and the stretching of my muscles I have achieved enormous success and unexpected results.
Each bodyART™ lesson is a true pleasure!
A big compliment to Robert Steinbacher and his Team and especially to my instructor „Daniela Erber-Lackermeier“. Daniela you are doing a great job. I will be faithful to your trainings lesoons for many more years to come.

bodyART™ – Art of the Body – Body feeling
Absolutely art, being tender in taking care of your body and to be patient in doing exercises that in the beginning seem to be inoperable.
I have been nearly 57 when I first was confronted with bodyART™ … oh my god! It seemed to ask for the impossible ... Das grenzt schon fast ans Unmögliche … it flashed through my mind ... such body control, such strain, twists, aimed muscle tension - in which constitution will I leave the room? …
Nevertheless I got down to work. Limits have been (and still are) set by my body but feeling good, injoyable lassitude and this unbelievable, motivating, making you proud perception "I actually made it" - all this cried out for MORE. And now it is already two years since this MORE. My condition, my figure, my well-being, my balance - simply this "Feeling-good-all-around" encourages me to push my physical and mental borders further each time. The success is mine for sure! Although my hair shows wisps of grey shimmer and I do not own the bones and flexibility of a young woman anymore.
Let alone the great variety of movements, wether it is going from the table position to the dog, the reverse V to the push-up, further in the cobra, the crow - and and and ... and the most wonderful thing is: (almost) all is practicable!
And if my physical effort, encouraged by our lovely trainer Andrea Brown who leads us with humor and patience to our personal limits (which stretch out further and further!), so that we are rewarded with always better results. This again gives us pleasure and therefore we enjoy each bodyART™ lesson.

Christine Dorsch (58 Jahre)

I have been introduced to bodyART™ in a ladys fitness studio half a year ago. Up to this moment I did not really have an idea what bodyART™ means. This changed rapidly. A trial lesson and I was an enthusiast of the program: stretching, strengthening, concentration, coordination. The exercises involve the whole body, flow in quiet movements, build depth and are accompanied by corresponding music. I have learned to feel my body anew and have recognized the possibilities this sport offers for me. It improves my flexibility, gives me a more stable posture and balance. And therefore nonetheless it helps me to obtain my health and mobility. Now having trained for half a year I can see a significant improvement in my flexibility and overall capacity.
Moreover bodyART™ is a mental training, various exercises have a mediative effect. I am now 58 years and I would suggest everybody to start with bodyART™ Training. It is not a day to early and never to late.
Dr. med. Urs Steiner (58 years) from Switzerland

In the health care system of the western industrial nations the back afflicted diseases (with work absences) rank among the most cost intensive factors. The most common among the "extraordinary" causes of death is the heart attack. Many fractures of the femur neck in old age are caused for the most part by poor balance and the thereby initiated falls. Prevention consists - among others - of endurance training (heart rate), strength, flexibility and balance training. Any mountain climber knows that only pacing in unison with the rhythm of breathing will lead to the highest peaks. Is added to all these features the insight that nature equals stagnation with death and movement with life, then bodyART™ from the viewpoint of a medical doctor fulfills all these demands with all its diversified, dynamic movement patterns which are synchronized to respiration. The steady array of isometric muscle contraction and stretching jolts up the heart rate. The balance exercises (one leg stands etc.) influence the proprioceptive sensibility and stabilize the balance additionally by training the rarely used little muscles. Decisive is not at last the rhythmic order of all the movements in a calm atmosphere which relax the flood of thoughts and increases the physical perception.
For almost three years I join the bodyART™-Training with enthusiasm.
Moreover bodyART™ is also a mental training for me, several exercises have a meditative impact. I am now 58 years and recommend starting with bodyART™ Training to anyone. It is not a day to early and never to late.
Elisabeth Sessler (49 years)

My name is Elisabeth Sessler. I am 49 years old and regularly join the bodyART™ Training two times a week. When one-and-a-half years ago I started my first bodyART™ class, I did not know what importance bodyART™ would gain in my life. Namely it enriched my life so I never want to miss it again. Even today I still look forward to every bodyART™ class even following a strenuous day of work. Especially in these situations I benefit from bodyART™. In bodyART™ Training I can feel all my senses, I come to my physical limits without overdoing it and while I concentrate on my breathing all tension leaves me. My muscles have been growing stronger by bodyART™ Training and my body is firmer. During the last months I have been approached upon my positive presence. Again and again I am astonished by the flexibility of my body and my coach playfully calls me "Brezl". I am enjoying the calm and flowing movement sequences, the "enduring" of the strength positions (f.e. the warrior) and the static physical exercises which steady my mind and soul. The final relaxing exercise mostly accompanied with a breathing technique lets my thoughts flow and round up the bodyART™ class wonderfully. Afterwards I am full of energy and feel like a million dollars. I do hope from the bottom of my heart that bodyART™ will accompany me many more years to come.
Christian Gerhager (35 years)

I have been attending a bodyART™ class in my fitness studio for almost 3 years.
I have been playing basketball for over 20 years partly on high level (2. National League) and I love to snowboard. After my fervor for basketball I discovered my second sports passion, tennis.
bodyART™ for me is a great compensation for my other sports because my whole body gains more stability, flexibility and my overall body posture shows vast improvement. On the other hand the special relaxation in bodyART™ gives me my inner balance back after a hard day at work. For me it is very important to start bodyART™ after a warm-up, therefore I usually run beforehand. I realized that class, especially the flexibility units, is more intense following a warm-up.
The first few classes have been relatively hard. I needed a lot of energy for most exercises and my breathing technique could not keep up with it.
However in the course of time I felt more at ease with the various exercises and I realized how rapidly I progressed. My one hour of bodyART™ a week I now consider sacred and I would not want to miss it anymore.
Sabine Seifert

Meanwhile after a good two years of regularly training bodyART™ I feel notably more mobile, fit, and more athletic than ever before. f-Training fühle ich mich deutlich beweglicher, fitter und sportlicher. The biggest advantage of this training for me personally is that I do not have any more problems following my knee injury (rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament not operated). For seven years I have had monthly to quartely intervalls of acute pain which only could be cured by a session at the chiropractor. These expenses can now be saved and I gladly invest a bit more for the training as by now I have discovered some more advantages of the bodyART™-Training:
I have a significantly better posture, the muscles currently keep in the loop (I even felt painfree within two days after a torn muscle fiber) and my body awareness has improved. I feel immediately if something is not ok and can react accordingly. The respiration which I usually practised by open mouth has now changed to nasal breathing and besides I am now able to controll my body with more awareness through respiration. The conjunctive tissue has grown firmer because the training has activated the deeper muscles which are not used in other sports (squash, studio training, biking...). Moreover I realized that I feel better mentally and that I can cope calmer with the problems in everyday hecticness (which is often the case if you lead three companies independently). That is why I can recommend this training concept to all people who (probably even in old age) want to stay fit and active.
